Vespa Print Ad Campaign
I had the opportunity to enroll in a creative portfolio course in which I was paired with a copywriter to create a print advertising campaign for the Italian brand, Vespa. In order best bring the campaign to life, we researched the brand’s history and mission.
We discovered one of Vespa’s goals is to create a vehicle that is not only cheap but is better for the environment than the average car. We felt we could take advantage of this aspect of the brand to create beautiful and meaningful print ads.
The Print Ads
With environmentalism in mind, I came up with the idea to create a “retro-futuristic” look, seen frequently in 1950-60s designs. This style not only allowed me to create sophisticated and eye-catching designs, but connect the audience to the brand and environment. It showed the audience that if they drove a Vespa the world would become a more beautiful and fascinating place due to protecting the environment.
