Mizzou Athletics
During my time at Mizzou Athletics, I’ve worked with 17 sports and hundreds of student-athletes. Our mission is to give each sport and team a distinct style while remaining within the Mizzou Athletics brand guidelines.
Below are some of my favorite projects I’ve worked on.
Mizzou vs. Oklahoma
“Red Dead Redemption” Game Day Preview
In 2024, Oklahoma made their return to Farout Field for the first time since 2010. I had the opportunity to create a special preview in honor of the renewed rivalry.
I decided to play on Oklahoma’s mascot (Sooners) and created a graphic similar to the video game cover of "Red Dead Redemption.”
While the Old Western style pushed the boundaries of my regular design style, it excited me to further explore my creative horizons and try something new.
Mizzou Golf
2024 Seasonal Campaign
My goal for the 2024 Mizzou Golf Campaign was to make two cohesive styles for the Men’s and Women’s teams. I made a brand for Mizzou Golf as a whole that exudes an old, classic golf feel combined with modernism to attract the attention of the rising number of young golfers.
To accomplish this, I used a grunge-based style with rips and scratch textures paired with a combination of a Sans-Serif and script font to add flare to the typography.
Stat and Award Graphics
Print Poster Designs
“Beauty And The Beast”
In 2025, Mizzou held the first-ever Wrestling and Gymnastics collaboration meet. This meet had both sports competing at the same time and in the same building. This event was titled “Beauty and the Beast” and I was in charge of making the marketing poster for the event.
I modeled the poster off of the design of the 2017 “Beauty and the Beast” film. I chose to make it a darker background with a gold glow for contrast. The mixture of a script and serif typeface creates an elegant title similar to what you would see for a Disney Princess movie. I added a golden texture to the type to symbolize royalty in honor of the two historic programs.
Mizzou Homecoming
The University of Missouri founded homecoming in 1911, it’s a beloved event that calls the Mizzou community back to campus. The streets of Columbia flood with the faces of current, past, and future Tigers, all sporting black and gold. To give them a warm welcome, I created a series aimed to capture the nostalgia and history of the event.
The style mimics a retro postcard to accomplish a “welcome home” feel. I used the classic wavy typography seen on postcards paired with paper and ripped textures to symbolize the history of Mizzou Homecoming.
